Awesomeness about the deconstruction of historic Corby Hall at the University of Notre Dame coming soon!
Notre Dame Brick
The buildings of the University of Notre Dame were built by founding priests using bricks hand-mined and fired on campus. These bricks, as well as the buildings they make up, now provide material reminders of the University's early manual-labor origins.
Coming soon will be a discussion of my work researching Notre Dame bricks through both archival records and material property analysis of brick samples from deconstructed campus buildings.
